Our Oysters & Our Island
Raspberry Point Oyster Co. raises cocktail, small, and large choice oysters in the picturesque cool, clear waters off Prince Edward Island (PEI), Canada. Our leases are some of the most northern stocks of oysters in North America, where each oyster takes 3-6 years to reach market size.
Known for its beauty of rolling hills, surrounding waters, sandy beaches, and red dirt, there is no denying why PEI is one of the top growing tourist destinations in the world. Our team takes in daily scenic views when out on the water, but our oysters also benefit from this quaint location. With the salty influx of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, and cool water temperatures, our oysters deliver a wonderful salty taste, clean flavour, and a delightful, sweet finish.
Raspberry Point Oysters
Grown in the cool waters of New London Bay, PEI National Park, Raspberry Point Oysters are continuously manicured throughout the growth process. The result is a perfect 3-to-3.5-inch small choice oyster that has a wonderful salty taste, clean flavour, and a delightful, sweet finish.
Lucky Lime Oysters
Lucky Limes Oysters are grown in the cool water of PEI National Park Dunes Area, New London Bay, PEI. The oyster’s bright green shell and unique flavour comes from the subtle mixture of sea water and tidal streams that break up the landscape of the surrounding farmland. Always in high demand and limited quantities, Lucky Limes are for the distinguished oyster customer looking for subtle taste variations in their half shell offerings.
Pickle Point Oysters
Grown in Hope River, PEI, Pickle Point Oysters are beautiful farm-raised oysters with ivory lips, glistening meat, and heavy, thick shells. These 3-to-3.5-inch small choice oysters are raked as seed from PEI’s remote icy waters and transferred to Pickle Point in New London Bay. Pickle Points sit firmly in your palm, are a breeze to open, and will deliver the firm, salty taste your patrons desire.
Shiny Sea Oysters
Shiny Sea Oysters are grown in New London Bay, PEI National Park. They are handled extensively in their early stages of growth and harvested at a young age. The Shiny Sea Oyster presents itself beautifully on the half shell. Ideal flavors from native food sources flowing in from several small tributaries define the brand. Shiny Sea Oysters take approximately 3-4 years to reach their market size of 2.5 to 3 inches. Filled with plump meat, they have an immediate salty taste and end with a subtle, sweet finish.
Rustico Oysters
Rustico Oysters are grown in the waters of Rustico, PEI, a quaint fishing village. The oyster grows for 3–5 years, surrounded by cold saltwater. During this time, our skilled oyster fishers take care of them until they reach their ideal size of 3–3.5 inches. Rustico Oysters have thick shells from being tumbled in the North Shore tides, which aids them in being an effortless shucking experience. The salty and sweet notes from the Rustico oyster blending together will leave you craving more.
Irish Point Oysters
Irish Point Oysters are 2.5 to 3-inch off-bottom–grown cocktail oysters known for their beautiful shape and excellent meat quality. Their superb salty taste and earthy, citrus finish are the result of the cold water and strong tides that run between Hope River, PEI, and the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
Hanky Panky Oysters
Grown in the food-rich tidal waters of North Shore, PEI, Hanky Panky Oysters are a premium choice large oyster. They take 4-6 years to reach their market size of 3.5 inches plus.
